How fast will I receive my order?

All orders are fulfilled in 48 hours and we work as fast as possible to ship to your location. Orders are fulfilled from Vancouver, Canada. Local orders can be expected within 5 days, east coast and south could expect 7-10 days. A shipping confirmation and tracking will be provided in your confirmation email.

How are your products priced?
Our prices reflect the real cost of getting a high quality, bespoke and crafted product. We make high-performance, science-backed skincare using natural ingredients sourced responsibly. We formulate in Canada in partnership with our team of biochemists, and work with premium suppliers and small-batch labs to ensure safety, performance, and sustainability. Our sea algae is sourced from sustainable seaweed farms on Vancouver Island, we distill the sea algae, and formulate it with our exclusive ingredients in our lab in Vancouver Canada. We keep our margins fair to ensure quality without cutting corners. Prices are listed in CAD and USD for international customers at checkout.

What makes your products better?

We use active ingredients like our exclusive sea algae extract which is scientifically proven to improve the skin barrier, supporting skin and gut health.

The magic lies in polysaccharides: long-chain natural sugars found in sea algae. These compounds help hydrate and protect skin, reduce inflammation, and feed beneficial gut bacteria. They’re antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, and prebiotics.

Why did you start Maris Dae?

We are a health care company disguised as a skincare brand. We are extremely passionate about supporting women who are starved for time and the endless pursuit of feeling (and looking) better.

We wanted to make natural products that are safe on you and the environment, and found that many products fall short, offering underperforming formulas with questionable ingredients that push women toward expensive face serums, filler injections, or unproven supplements. The result is frustration, a lot of wasted money, and ultimately not feeling better in their own skin.

We are also passionate about pioneering biotechnology, sustainable agriculture and local supply chains to create beautiful products. When we discovered the benefits of sea algae, and the untapped quality of the sea algae that we can harvest from our hometown of Vancouver, we knew this had the potential to create truly spectacular results.

Where are your products made?
Our bodycare products are formulated and produced in small batches in Vancouver, Canada, with sourcing and testing partnerships across the Pacific Northwest. Our sea algae is sourced from Vancouver Island and distilled in our lab to make our exclusive sea algae complex. We work closely with seaweed harvesters, biochemists, and formulators to bring you skincare rooted in nature, backed by science.

What makes your ingredients special?
We use bioactive-rich sea algae, antioxidants, plant oils, and barrier-supporting actives that are safe, effective, and environmentally conscious. We conduct scientific peer reviews of the recent learnings in algae, dermatology and gut health to influence the development of our products. Everything is rigorously tested, thoughtfully chosen, and designed to work with your skin, not against it. We have not completed a clinical trial on our bodycare set, but we intend to do this once the product is available.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. All Maris Dae products are vegan, cruelty-free, and never tested on animals. We only work with partners who share our ethical standards.

How sustainable is your brand?

At Maris Dae, sustainability is built into every decision we make.

We produce in small batches, right in the coastal region where our sea algae is harvested, to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and stay close to the source. This tight, local supply chain supports quality control, ingredient freshness, and innovation, while minimizing our environmental footprint.

We chose sea algae not just for its powerful bioactive benefits, but for its role as a natural climate hero. Seaweed is a regenerative crop: a carbon sink that absorbs CO₂, restores biodiversity, improves water quality, and supports marine ecosystems. Every seaweed farm planted enhances ocean health and strengthens local fisheries.

Our seaweed suppliers are Ocean Wise certified and work in partnership with Indigenous fishing communities across British Columbia, ensuring that economic benefits return to the small, origin villages that steward these waters.

Is your packaging sustainable?
We’ve obsessed over this. We chose glass bottles due to their recyclability. Our bottles are recyclable and refill-friendly, and we’ve designed packaging with low-waste and minimal impact in mind. Our products are designed to be multi-purpose and multi-use, therefore minimizing what you have in your bathroom cabinet.

Do you give back?
Yes. We give back 1% of all sales go to environmental and social impact organizations we believe in. We're committed to doing good at every stage of our growth. You can read more about our donations and organizations here.

Are your products safe for sensitive skin?
We formulate with sensitive skin in mind. Free from known irritants and toxins, with essential oils used only in carefully tested amounts. As with any new product, we always recommend a patch test if you’re unsure.

Do you use any allergens?

We choose the most gentle ingredients that we can. Instead of essential oils, we have chosen natural fragrance oils which are known to cause less irritation and are gentler on the skin.

Can I use the bodycare on my face?

We recommend using our bodycare line for any of your dry skin from the neck down. Our formulas are safe and gentle, however, we are formulating a unique product for the more sensitive and hydration-hungry face. If you decide to use our bodycare for your face, we suggest doing a test patch prior to committing to using it all over.

Can I preorder?
Yes, our first products, body wash and serum, are currently available for preorder. By preordering, you're helping us scale a cleaner, more conscious approach to bodycare.

We ship across Canada and the U.S., with international shipping available soon. All orders ship from our Canadian HQ.
